Cell Phone News – Apple iPhone 4 software fix for proximity sensor coming soon

Steve Jobs, during a press conference today, announced that a software fix is coming for the iPhone 4’s proximity sensor. The sensor is used to detect the user’s face during a call and to deactivate the touchscreen. Users have complained of the device’s touchscreen activating while on calls, which has resulted in dropped calls or placing the caller on hold.
