Cell Phone News – FCC to open TV airwaves for high-speed wireless broadband

The Federal Communications Commission approved a plan today to provide unused “white space” frequency from broadcast television networks for high-speed wireless broadband networks. The spectrum is the largest block, below 5GHz, to be freed up for unlicensed use in over 20 years.
