Cricket Wireless News – MetroPCS picking up an Android LTE phone in early 2011

When MetroPCS launcehd the Samsung Craft for its LTE network, I had one question. Why no Android? Samsung has a number of high-end Android devices, and the Android OS is much more functional than the native Craft OS. Apparently, Metro is just waiting for the right time. Yesterday the company said that it will launch an Android LTE device in the first quarter of 2011. That should coincide with MetroPCS expanding its LTE network to 38 markets. The handset will also include MetroPCS’s voice over LTE client, meaning it will not make voice calls on the CDMA network.
